The Measuring Change tool is a set of web-based resources that support schools to reflect on their environmental action and to monitor the outcomes of this action over time. The tool includes data collection methods and worksheets, teacher support activities and planning tools that will help answer some of the questions that arise when reflecting on change.
Schools using the Measuring Change Tool can choose to collect data about Zero Waste, Energy!, Water of Life or Living Landscapes. Each year schools will input their data into the Measuring Change website. The Enviroschools Foundation will process the information and generate progress reports for each school. The data is converted into standardised performance measures for schools to see how they are doing in comparison with other schools, regionally and nationally.
The output from Measuring Change will help schools to gauge where they are on their sustainability journey, to manage progress towards their goals and to inform decisions on where to focus next. This is part of the Enviroschools Action Learning Cycle and raises new ideas, consolidates learning and enables schools to further improve environmental outcomes.
